Apostoli is a nice village in the inland of Heraklio. It's about 40' away from Heraklio and the airport.

Following the provincial road from Heraklio to Lasithi you pass by a chain of small traditional villages-where Apostoli belongs- which have managed to keep their features unspoiled, the traditional architectural style, the social net, the handicrafts (pottery, winery), the nice and hospitable people, the nature.

There is a good contradiction between the massive tourist resorts by the north coast and the peacefull sightseeings in the inland of North.

All surroundings are green with the nature to wanton during the whole year. The inland is full of beautiful mountain paths, so accesible and attractive to everyone.Near by, there is the river "Aposelemis", one of the most beautiful and lively biotope in Crete, which belongs to the communal programme "NATURA 2000 ".

Besides the access to the tourist resorts such as Hersonissos, Malia, Sisi and both to the north and to the south ax of the island is very easy and direct beause of the good road network. For instance, it takes just 15' by car to get to Hersonissos for a drink.

But even next to Apostoloi, there is a nice hamlet Kastelli, with a vivid trade and social life during the whole year.

Moreover, just 8 kilometers far from Apostoli, there is the only 18 hole PGA Golf Course in Crete.

Apostoli is an ideal option for this kind of people who want to spend some time in a tranquil and nice village, but also to have the ability to acess to more crowded and tourist places.
