Agios Mironas is a traditional village, just twelve km away from the city of Heraklio. It forms the Municipality of the wider region with approximately 5.000 permanent residents. It is considered as the developed centre of the region with school, health centers and a market. The Public University Hospital of the city abstains 10 km.

Yet, it keeps its interesting traditional features in the architecture, while the cultural and social life of the residents is vivid and very interesting.

Following the provincial road of Agios Mironas, you pass through the inland of Heraklio and you end at the foot of the mountain chain "Psiloritis".

Intense Cretan landscape, with immense valleys cultivated with grapes and olives. Marvellous view to the sea.

During the summer many festivities occur in the village square, with Cretan traditional music, plenty of local wine, mezedes and spicy raki. An unforgettable experience.
